Soldier Kamran Jalilov shot himself as a result of careless handling of weapons in N-military unit in Nakhchivan, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on April 16.
The soldier was placed in the hospital. Jalilov’s state was regarded as critical.
A criminal case was filed in the military prosecutor’s office. The investigation is underway.
Jalilov was called to the active military service from the Lankaran region.
