After the visit of the French co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier to Ankara the French Embassy in Turkey made a statement.
According to the Anatolian Agency, the statement says that «while the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are separate problems, their solutions should be carried out in parallel».
The OSCE has continued its mediation mission on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. France, together with the other co-chairs – the United States and Russia – will continue efforts to achieve a just and viable solution to this problem. At the same time, the official Paris would support the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations. However, solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will have a positive impact on the normalization of relations and to resolve other conflicts in the region.
