IFRC finishes first stage of national program on collecting information about missing people during Nagorno-Karabakh conflictFirst stage of national program of International Red Crescent Society (IFRC) on collecting information about missing people during Nagorno Karabakh conflict has finished.
Till 30 July, 2009, 20 well-trained volunteers of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society collected detailed information and filled in 1151 questionnaires interviewing families of missing people.
The questionnaires cover outward appearances of missing people and other details. First stage of this process has officially finished in Azerbaijan.
All questionnaires will be submitted to Azerbaijan`s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens.
However, the process of collecting information is being continued in 18 towns and districts close to front line, and next year, will cover more 35.
Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society plans to end this process by late 2010.
On 14 April, 2008, Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and State Commission signed an agreement on collection information and its management.
