“Azerbaijan has strongest army and largest military potential in the region because our country lives at war.
The Nagorno Karabakh conflict has not been solved yet and only reason of that is non-constructive position of Armenia”, said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his speech during the Cabinet meeting dedicated to the results of the past nine months, APA reports.
The head of state said Armenia was using a tactic of play for time, but Azerbaijan didn’t intend to leave its principal position. “Last developments in the region might encourage Armenia”, said the president and added that Azerbaijan’s increasing role in the region and world will not allow Armenia to pull out from isolation. “Armenian leadership is guilty for this situation. Azerbaijan will struggle for its national interests till the end because it is a fair struggle”.
The head of state said status-quo in the region must change in favor of Azerbaijan. Otherwise Azerbaijan will not be reconciled with the situation. “There is no such initiative in the region that could be realized without participation of Azerbaijan”.
