The occupation of Azerbaijani territories must be stopped, refugees must be allowed to return to their native lands, ISESCO Secretary General Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri said today.
Refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh have the right to return to their homes, Altwaijri said after a two-day summit of religious leaders, opened in Baku April 26.
Altwaijri called the work of the conference successful.
The participants of the meeting signed the final document which focuses on the problem of abuse of religion to justify terrorism and globalization issues.
Holding a meeting of leaders of world religions is a good idea to solve the problems of the world, Altwaijri said.
“We can not make political leaders responsible, and we should help them in providing the correct information, the right path to make the right decision. Our world needs peace, which can be achieved only with justice,” Altwaijri said.
