Protests against Armenia ‘s accession to Customs Union start in Yerevan

Armenians started a protest action against the country’s accession to the Customs Union in Yerevan.

 

APA reports quoting Arminfo that the protesters are marching along the Northern Ave, Republic Square, Amiryan Street, Mashtots Ave, to the President’s residence on Baghramyan Ave.

 

Though police officers firstly closed the Northern Ave, later they allowed the protestors to march along the determined route. They are chanting slogans like “Serjik go away!”, “Putin go away!”, “EuroArmenia”, “Independent Armenia”, “Armenians, unite!”, “We are the owners of our country!”. The protesters are holding posters “Stop-Russia”.

 

A large number of police officers were deployed outside the President’s residence.
