The National Hero Chingiz Mustafayev Foundation and ANS Group of Companies have today presented “The Man of 2013” award to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports. The President expressed his gratitude for the award and said that he would further continue developing Azerbaijan in the future. Director of ANS Group of Companies, member of Board of Directors of the National Hero Chingiz Mustafayev Foundation Vahid Mustafayev said that the Head of State was honored for being elected President by winning the majority of votes, as well as for his services as chairman of the United Nations Security Council, which significantly increased Azerbaijan`s international influence, for ensuring Azerbaijan`s joining the ranks of the space nations, preserving economic development rate, playing an important role in Europe`s energy security by effectively implementing Shadeniz-2, Trans-Adriatic and Trans-Anadolu projects, ensuring simplification of visa regime with EU member-countries and paving the way for softening the world powers` position on Iran as a result of official Baku`s continuous and resolute policy in the region.
Following this, the award was presented to Aliyev.
The Head of State said that the prize money would be transferred to the Armed Forces Foundation as a tradition and the watch would be kept in the museum. /Trend/
