Envera SELIMOVIC, U.N. Department of Public Information Representative in Azerbaijan:
“The United Nations is a close partner of Azerbaijan and supports the country’s territorial integrity. Every Azerbaijanis and those who make efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, wish implementation of the relevant resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council. Territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is recognized not only by the United Nations, but also other international organizations. There is progress in talks to settle the dispute”.

Diego PINTO, secretary general of International European Movement:
“It is impossible to create discussion around the issue of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The European Union recognized the need to respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. It is a fact and impossible to deny. EU does not participate directly in negotiating process of the decision of this conflict, however we want and hope that the conflict to be resolved peacefully.”

“I am the author of the several books devoted to a modern history of Azerbaijan. In my books “The Bloody Karabakh Whirlpool” and “Valley Days” was discussed ideological nationalism of Armenians. And in the book “Ruins” is represented the today’s position on primordially Azerbaijan earths occupied by Armenia. One of the greatest troubles in the world is an extreme, ardent Armenian nationalism. The Armenian chauvinism is one of the most terrible. Destruction of Azerbaijanis by the Armenian aggressors for an ethnic accessory – a crime against humanity… Azerbaijan should restore by all means the territorial integrity… It should be noted that under the statement of Armenians, on the occupied territories “and the grass does not grow” and will not grow, while lawful owners of these territories – the Azerbaijan refugees and the internally displaced persons will not come back yet”

Ravil BUKHARAYEV, public figure of Tatarstan, colleague of “Muslim TV Ahmadiyya International” TV Channel in London:
“So happens that one night Armenians living in Azerbaijani house hosted me in Shusha – a crown of Azerbaijan. That night Shusha remained in my memory black and gloomy… And the Armenian living in Azerbaijani house perceived that they did not live in their homes. They had an old TV at home, but they could watch only Azerbaijan’s TV channels. The Armenian family, which has arrived from Baku, perceived these programs as their culture, TV. They knew Azerbaijani language very well and I felt from their talking that they were concerned for Azerbaijan. Tears filled into their eyes whilst watching the programs in Azerbaijani language. Those Armenians were ready to sacrifice everything just to see Baku one day”.

Ivan MEZNIK, Czech scientists, specialist on eastern countries, professor:
“I well know that, what is terror, deportation, genocide, is completely informed on aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan and brutal exile of Azerbaijanis from the native land. I have seen mass burial place in Guba, I cannot compare it with Hatin tragedy, even with a terrible sight in Yugoslavia. I did not see such monstrous tragedy in none of the countries of the world. The whole world should be aware of the tragedy of the Azerbaijanis. International mission should give a legal assessment to the slaughters committed by Armenians in Guba.

In 3, PIROV STREET
Going out to the street and thinking about how to fill the time on this Sunday, I suddenly recalled the letter that one former Baku dweller gave me back in Ashgabat, asking me to deliver it to his relative living in Stepanakert. It is not right, I thought, I’ve been back for so long now and still I couldn’t find any time to deliver it. Taking out the letter from my blazer pocket I read the following on the envelope: To Martin Sarkisov (to be handled personally), 3 Kirov Street. OK, I thought, if you want me to handle it personally, then I’ll do that for you. As I started wondering how to get to this very Kirov Street I suddenly found myself standing close to one of the post offices. Assuming that the post officers most probably would be able to explain me how to find the street, I entered the office building. Surely, there was no one inside, for it was Sunday – no visitors, no workers. There was only a young lady sitting at one of the boxes, obviously bored, and turning over some illustrated magazine. I approached the window, greeted her and said, “Excuse me, could you explain me how to get to house No 3 in Kirov Street and if it is far from here?”
“Not at all.” she said, “It’s nearby. Just go up the street to the first corner, then turn right and walk some twenty meters. There you’ll find the street you need at the very beginning. It’s a fifteen-minute walk to the place. You have to know that now we don’t call this street Kirov, but Pirov, so the address you’re looking for should be, say, 3 Pirov Street.”
“Ok, I got it. So Kirov Street was renamed too?”
“Yes. However,” she goes on, “the old name has been rescinded while the city hall has not devised any new. That’s why we post officers, decided to call it Pirov Street.”
“And what’s the reason,” I asked, “for you not to like Kirov?”
‘The reason is,” she said “he presented our Karabakh to Azerbaijanis.”
“He never presented anything to anyone,” I explain to her, “Karabakh belonged to Azerbaijanis even before that, so Kirov has nothing to do with this.”
“Don’t act like you were born yesterday!” she parries, “you wouldn’t speak like this if you would’ve listened to what our lecturer-historians say.”
It was useless to argue with her so I just tried to check with her:
“And why did you call this street Pirov? Who on earth is that guy?”
“No one,” she explains with a serious voice, “Postmen came up with this. Now if one hears of Pirov Street, then he knows that it is the former Kirov Street. It’s convenient and smart.”
“Yeah, very convenient,” I agreed, ‘but I did not get the idea with the meaning. Could you please explain?”
“Oh, that’s pretty simple,’ she replies. ‘Our Ceremonial Palace is situated on this street. We have our weddings, birthday parties and the praising of our heroes over there, feastings in other words. That’s why we call this street Pirov (from Russian pir, feast – translator). Got it?”
“Sure I did,” I said, trying not to burst into laughter. Hardly overcoming myself I ask her:
“Are there more streets you have renamed this way?”
“There are some, for example, we had Bakinskaya (Baku – translator) Street, and the town council has annulled its name. And while they are thinking of a new name, we postmen have called it Jakinskaya (Jacques – translator) – the name suggested by one of our colleagues who is an activist of the Karabakh movement. You see, it’s very easy, it was Bakinskaya and now it is Jakinskaya.”
“Indeed that’s very easy, but it is still unclear. What does this name stand for?” I insisted.
“Oh, we called it in honor of one famous foreigner,” she chirped. “His name was Jacques, nicknamed Russkiy (Russian – translator), which in countries faraway transliterates as Rousseau.”
I see her saying all this earnestly, without batting an eye.
So I ask her again:
“And what does he have to do with your town?”
“Are you kidding!” the girl exclaimed, “He is said to have been a big democrat. And we all are proponents of democracy.”
“Hmm” I was trying to digest her words, not at all knowing what to tell her.
But I didn’t have to answer as namely at that moment some young people entered the office and the girl ran to another window for them. And I left the post office pondering over the peculiarities of democracy as I headed to the address I was looking for. I did not spend much time to find Pirov Street and house number three. There was a young woman sitting at the gates of the house, holding a baby in her arms.
“Hello,” I told her, “does Martin Sarkisov live here?”
“He lives here alright,” she replied, “but firstly, he’s not Martin anymore, he’s Martiros, and secondly, he’s not home now, he went early in the morning to the bus station to go visit his brother in Artsakhshen village.”
A sudden thought flashed in my head: what if that son of the bitch that made a woman run with bags across the bus station was him? There was only one man in the bus. So, this is the very bourbon I am delivering the letter to. I would not if I had known before. But there is no good to cry for the moon, I am delivering it already. I asked the woman:
“Could you please deliver this letter to Martiros when he’s back from Artsakhshen?”
“Ok, I will,” the woman replies. “And what should I say about you, who are you to him?”
I thought a bit and said:
“We are from the same parts… Damn my foot…”
And I left, up hill and down dale…

RUINS
(Begins on the previous issues)
The vegetation of Karabakh eylags (highland plateaus for summertime ranging – editor), for some minor exceptions, is characterized as especially nutrient. The list of known representatives of pascual flora in alphabetic order in Latin occupies three and a half pages in two columns, which makes no less than 300 names. All that grazing area constituted 567 areas of individual possession. The length of the outer borders was 1,650 verst. Hereafter goes the text about former Karabakh Province by М.А.Skibitsky:
“The stock pastured at Karabakh summer grazing belongs almost exclusively to the population of the part of Transcaucasia which lies between Kura and Araz and stretches from the confluence of these two rivers to the west up to the border of the Erivan Province and northwest to the ridge of Murovdag range and lower part of Karachay River, a tributary of Kura.” The distribution of the users (total of 26,038 homes) was as follows: Azerbaijanis accounted, across all districts, for 18,919 homes (72.66 %), Kurds for 3,510 homes (13.48 %), Armenians for 3,408 homes (13.08 %) and Tats for 201 hom (0.78 %). Furthermore, there was roughly the same number of homes on governmental and private lands. However, recorded among owner-peasants were only the Armenians of Zangezur District with 86 homes. According to the approximate calculations, the total number of livestock at grazing was 1,148, 789, 196,438 of which was great and 952,351 small cattle. Those included to the point, 2,898 camels, 140 pigs and 108 mules. The amounts of produced butter, buffalo butter and sheep’s milk butter, as well as the sheep cheese of three sorts: full-fat (locally called akhtarma), semi-fat (shoroba) and fat-free (curd), were not specified. Recorded were only market prices: from 10 rubles per pood (16 kg) of melted butter through to 60-90 kopeck per pood of shor.
“The responsibility for maintaining the livestock at eylags and producing dairy foods rests, almost exclusively, on women. They are also engaged during movements in some chars (like cooking), combing wool for yarn, weaving it into fabric which is mostly used for choki and so on. On the contrary, the men, while on the movement, are chiefly whiling away the time, sometimes trying their boldness in stealing someone else’s livestock and destroying crops at neighbors grazing, and only few of them are engaged in purchasing and selling livestock, delivering dairy food to the market and buying salt and other necessary items there”, Skibitsky says without any bias. Recorded is enhanced fixation of the locals on the agriculture; most of the plowed lands, houses, adobe buildings and other various facilities were located in the piedmonts of the Shusha District, featured with gardening, vegetable growing and cotton-growing. The calm course of pasture life was quite often interrupted by cattle-farmers disputes over the right to use one or the other grazing. As of the time of survey recorded were 267 disputes, of which the majority, notably 157, was pertaining only to the borders between individual areas; 52 disputes have arisen between local settled dwellers and coming nomads, 53 due to the tenth tax and 5 on some disputed areas, which lowlanders were classifying as hidelands and nomads as grazing lands. Out of the total number of bounded disputed areas, 174 were classified as the matter of dispute between peasants and 93 as disputed between peasants on the one hand and beks or meliks on the other… Just dare argue!
Finally, Skibitsky has grouped the disputes by nationality of the parties involved. The picture was as follows: Azerbaijanis versus Azerbaijanis on 155, Azerbaijanis versus Kurds on 51, Azerbaijanis versus Armenians on 40, Kurds versus Armenians on 9 and Azerbaijanis versus Tats on 1 area.

Sighted blindness
Paradoxical isn’t it? How to understand this? A person can either be blind, or able to see. If a person does not see he is blind, anybody who is not blind consequently is sighted.
The God almightily however seems to have created creatures that can see by being blind. These creatures are Armenians.
It is possible to expect anything from those strange creatures. Recently syndrome of “sighted blindness” was demonstrated by the ‘member of the National Assembly of NKR” Rudolf Martirosian. Commenting the visit of the Azerbaijani community to Khankendi (Stepanakert) he arrogantly declared that Azerbaijani guests understood that nothing can break the will of Karabakhis! (Separatist will of Karabakhis – G.Z)
Trying to show the “brightness” of his mind he stated “One needs to have bravery to explain to his people, that one nation can not decide on behalf of the other nation”. This is obvious that this should not be the case. Probably by saying one nation, Rudik presumes Azerbaijanis. Whom does he refer to by saying the other nation then? If he means Armenians living in Nagorno Karabakh, then they are not a nation. They are ethnic minority dwelling in the territory of Azerbaijan. You can not call an ethnic minority a nation. There is a Republic of Armenia with Armenians living there and if Martirosian presumes them then Azerbaijan does not even think to interfere to the affairs.
Further Rudik expresses his highly philosophic thoughts “Similar visits, if its participants are aiming at softening the enmity between nations instead of improving their public image, shall sincere”.
He again presumes Azerbaijani delegation being insincere. The strange thing is that representative of nation that consists of nothing more than lies and hypocrisy makes judgments on sincerity.
Let’s leave this issue aside, and pay attention to the ‘sighted blindness’ of Rudolf Martirosian. Not one article, a whole paper would suffice if we decide to elaborate on Armenian character. Book of several volumes can be written about it. Be Rudik the only Armenian with such a character we would not even bother with it. The whole nation is composed of “rudiks”…
In the process of his speech Rudik mentioned “We saw what Azerbaijan did to us in 70 years of Soviet Rule”. By saying this Rudik wants to emphasize that while being the part of Azerbaijani SSR, Karabakh was deprived of any development and lived n poverty. This is an absolute lie!
Here are few documentary examples that demonstrate the opposite. By 1986 the indicator of industrial production in Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region of Azerbaijan was 183%, when the indicator for other parts of the country was 178.7 %.
Karabakh had the highest GDP in Azerbaijan. 42 of families had telephones in their homes, when this was 31.1% for other regions of Azerbaijan.
The per capital income in 1986 for Nagorno-Karabakh was 1113.5 Rubles, which was 97.8 rubles more than that for other regions and 170.4 more than in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Every single resident of Karabakh was provided with 14.6 square meters of living space, when the same indicator for other Azerbaijani regions was 10.9 square meters.
These figures openly demonstrate that the wellbeing of people in Nagorno-Karabakh was much better than in other parts of Azerbaijan before the conflict. All other indicators were also much better in comparison.
Only blind, or in this case “sighted blind” like R. Martirosian, can not see the obvious truth.
Armenian deceives America and France
The “Armenian skill” of lying and passing lies in an artful manner at any time and in any place of the world is not big news for the people of our planet. However, knowing the best of these Armenian specifics are, no doubt, their neighbors: Azerbaijanis, Georgians, Turks and Russians, though the last one would rarely admit this in virtue of some “Christian brotherhood” and other circumstances.
It is noteworthy that all the Armenians have achieved so far, starting from passing themselves off as the most ancient or rather the first Christians, apprehending the territories of Western Azerbaijan and setting up their state on them, propagating supposedly existed so-called “Greater Armenia” and through to violation of territorial integrity of neighboring states, is all “thanks to” the mentioned inborn national specifics. No doubt, the art of lying is not the only “outstanding” trait of the Armenians. We can also add a whole pile of other “values”, such as avarice, jaundice, hatred, cruelty, impudence and so on. We also wrote a lot about these qualities of the Armenians. However, the reason that we are forced to pick one of these features, in this case “the Armenian deceit” was the specific case reported recently on the ANS PRESS webpage.
So, the site reported that Howard Manoian, an 84-year-old US citizen and ethnic Armenian, has faced the case with taking away his Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur (National Order of the Legion of Honor) for the long-time lies and deceit. It turned out that Manoian has many years deceived both the US and France.
The case is as follows. The Daily Mail reported that the studies of American military archives proved that 84-year old Howard Manoian, who was awarded the Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur on the 65th anniversary of the allied landing at Normandy, had neither taken part in this operation nor did he get wounded or perform any of the heroic actions he told of to become famous.
Over decades Manoian was the hero of numerous interviews and documentaries where he was describing, in quite a picturesque manner, the events of summer 1944. The “veteran” passed himself off as a trooper and stated that he had taken part in the airdrop near the town of Sainte-Mère-Eglise. According to his own legend, he was wounded in one of his hands and both legs, in heroic circumstances.
After retiring Manoian moved to France (he probably was afraid of his lies being exposed in public – G.J.), bought a house there and gained the fame of local “hero veteran”. His photographs and tales of his feats were exhibited in museums and Manoian himself featured in numerous publications and documentaries.
However, as our proverb says “a lie can sprout but cannot grow”, or “a lie is not durable, story-telling is not everlasting”. As it turned out all Manoian’s stories were fairytales. He never served in the 82nd airborne division of the US Army. During the war, Manoian was enlisted to the chemical defense forces; he was engaged in providing soldiers with showers after his transfer to North France. When the war was over, Howard came back to the US and joined the police.
Journalists failed to contact Manoian as he urgently headed from France to the US due to “his poor health”. Government officials said he will, most likely, be deprived of his Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur. Swindler’s photographs and references to him will be removed from the museums.
What I think is that it’s not enough. The man who for many years deceived the two countries and thousands of people along with consuming huge funds that did not belong to him should be executed most severely. That would be the lesson for the remainder of the Armenians!
Having written this, I just questioned the possibility of prosecuting the entire nation. Since one out of two Armenians is just like Manoian.
Therefore, trying to put an end to the Armenian lies is just a futile effort…
ISESCO support to “Justice for Khojali” Campaign
In early July, the General Assembly of ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) held its tenth session.
According to information provided by Youth Forum of Islamic conference to APA, during the grand opening of the session, a Complementary protocol to the Memorandum on cooperation was signed between ISESCO and the Forum in the presence of heads of delegations of the member states. The Protocol was signed by the director general of ISESCO, Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, and secretary general of the campaign, Elshad Iskenderov, on behalf of the general coordinator of intercultural dialogue of Youth Forum of Islamic conference, initiator of international campaign “Justice for Khojali,” Leyla Aliyeva.
The above-mentioned document implies support to international informational-propagandistic campaign “Justice for Khojali” and, within the framework of this campaign, organization of joint events in fields of education, science and culture in accordance with the world standards. E.Iskenderov mentioned that in the document, he found reflection as well as a plan of events, which must be conducted in Muslim countries of the world and in Europe. The parties negotiated specific steps for including information on Khojali tragedy in school books in OIC member states. According to the document, ISESCO took upon responsibility to include this information into the books of OIC countries in 2009-2010. Thus, the given document will play the role of a “road map” in the realization of political resolutions, adopted in the last year’s conference of ministers of education of OIC and in the conference of ministers of foreign affairs of the organization, held this May.
It is worth to mention that the “Justice for Khojali” campaign was announced on 8 May 2008 upon the initiative of general coordinator of intercultural dialogue of Youth Forum of Islamic conference, L.Aliyeva. The purpose of the campaign is to inform the international community about the Khodjali tragedy and to obtain a moral-political assessment of these events on an international level. On 26 February of the current year, the campaign was started in 25 countries. Within the campaign’s framework, upon the Forum’s initiative, in resolutions adopted during the summit of OIC and the Conference of ministers of foreign affairs, for the first time the Khojali tragedy is considered by international organizations as “massive carnage,” which is a crime against humanity. Note that the Khojali tragedy, committed by Armenian armed gangs and Russian motorized infantry regiment 366, dislocated in Khankendi (Stepanakert) at those times, at night from 25 to 26 February 1992, stands on the same level with the tragedies of My Lai Massacre, Khatini, Hiroshima, the most terrible and most brutally committed tragedies of the XX century.
As a result of the brutality by criminal Armenian-Russian troops, out of the population of Khojali, 613 people were killed, 487 people were disabled, 1275 civilians, elderly, children, women, were taken hostage by Armenians and were exposed to inconceivable tortures, abuses and humiliations. The destiny of 150 people is still unknown. Out of 613 people killed in Khojali, 106 were women, 63 were children, and 70 were elderly. In the Khojali tragedy, 8 families were completely destroyed, 24 children lost both parents, 130 children lost one parent. 56 people were eliminated with special atrocity and mercilessness. They were burnt alive, their heads were cut off, skin was peeled off their faces, infants’ eyes were put out, and pregnant women’s abdomens were cut open with bayonets. Armenians abused even the dead…. It was a real genocide of Azerbaijanis by Armenian-Russian joint armed forces.
In connection with the tragedy in Khojali, on 01 March 1994, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued a special decree. By the resolution of the Milli Mejlis (National Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 26 February was announced ‘the Day of Khojali genocide and national mourning.’ All international organizations have been informed about the resolution. On 25 February 1997, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued a decree on ‘Announcing one minute’s silence in commemoration of victims of Khojali genocide’ and this action is held on 26 February every year.
It must be mentioned that the “Justice for Khojali” campaign is continued on an international level on the website www.justiceforkhojali.org.
What is it, threat to Azerbaijan or …?
Recently in mass media, a piece of information has appeared that Armenia may get an opportunity to construct two military bases on Russian territory, more specifically, in Dagomis, Krasnodar territory (where, by the way, Armenian population yields only to the Russian one) and Dagestan, as if to secure safety of transportation-communication networks, related to the supply of the republic.
According to the Joint headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), such possibility exists within the framework of the treaty on establishing Collective Rapid Response Forces within CSTO. It was said that the given subject was discussed in military circles of the two countries, i.e. Russia and Armenia.
Note that this February the members of CSTO agreed on and signed a draft decision on establishing Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF), which are assumed to be used for ‘reflecting military aggression, conducting special operations on fight against international terrorism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, as well as eliminating consequences of emergency situations.’
It is planned that CRRF must comprise of formations and units of constant operational readiness. They will be capable of mobile redeployment to any point in the zone within CSTO responsibility. CRRF will also get under its charge special mission units, which will comprise of bodies of internal affairs or police, internal troops, security and special services, as well as offices on warning and liquidation of consequences of emergencies.
This step seems to be a peculiar threat to Azerbaijan, covered with the screen of the above-mentioned purpose of “securing safety of transportation-communication networks, related to the supply of the republic.” This attempt of threatening may be caused by several factors. It is particularly an objective warning about the possibility of applying force in the question of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict resolution in case if peaceful negotiations fail; refusal by official Baku to supply Russia with all its natural gas; some problematic questions on the Caspian Sea; etc. We can also add here the much-talked-of information on alleged secret negotiations between Russia and Turkey on provision of the air space by the latter for transfer of weapons and military equipment for the Russian military base in Gumri, Armenia. The information was decisively refuted by the Turkish side. Turkey stated that it would never allow using its territory for military supplies to Armenia, the use of which against Azerbaijan is never excluded.
Besides, another fact, related to the threat from CSTO, cannot be ignored. Recently its secretary general, Nikolay Bordyuzha, made a quite weird and threatening statement regarding regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict: “When it is about war one must understand that CSTO is based on Treaty on Collective security, Article 4 of which says that aggression against one of the organization’s states is aggression against all member states of the organization. We will conclude from it.”
Mr. Bordyuzha either deliberately allows illogicality or obviously tries to threaten Azerbaijan. It must be understood, if to express ourselves in his words, that very Article 4 of the Treaty speaks of the case of aggression against one of the states of the organization. Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan has never had and will never have plans of aggression against and infringement of sovereignty and territory of any other country. All it wants is to free its territories from the occupation of Armenia, CSTO member, to which Azerbaijan has all rights. It means aggression against Armenia, which Yerevan has longed for in order to pull CSTO into the conflict and then, to hide behind its back as always, will not happen. In case of failure of peaceful negotiations, Azerbaijani army will start to restore territorial integrity of the country.
As for the construction of military bases by Armenia on the territory of Russia, it is not allowed, among many others, by the Russian-Azerbaijani agreement on strategic partnership dated 4 July 2008, according to which, the parties cannot let their territories to the states, if it can threaten one of the parties. It is also interesting with which moral right CSTO, under its leading member Russia, who is also co-chair of the Minsk Group of OSCE, dealing with the regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, will defend Armenia, the aggressor country. And in general, what is the attitude of CSTO to the aggressor politics of its member state?
In summary, to threaten or to blackmail Azerbaijan is a shameful and idle effort. It is better to be civilized, have no dark intentions and have unbiased approach to the questions of security, independence and freedom of each and every country. Overall peace and justice all over our planet depend on it.
Captive’s story
(beginning in the previous issues)
The representative of ICRC was visiting us from time to time, though rendering no help. I do not know why. Maybe because of his Armenian interpreter who could have been translating our words wrongly… Truly saying we also never tried to tell the problems in the full scale. Whatever we would tell would be known to the prison administration in few minutes. Organizations like this were coming and going, while the prison controllers were always above us…
Later the representative of the Red Cross was replaced by a man from Switzerland. His name was Pierre. His interpreter was not an Armenian and it increased our trust towards him.
He was carefully listening to us and accurately taking notes. Many things changes after his arrival. Arbitrary executions stopped, they started feeding us better, even those who could not work anymore. He was a sacred person…
Once in spring of ninety-five I was sent to work in construction of a military person. He was building a house and three masons – two Armenians and one Azerbaijani hostage were already there doing the second floor. I was working down on the ground preparing cement mixture and sending it up in buckets. Suddenly artillery shooting started and one grenade exploded in the city not very far from the house. The head of the convoy warned that if another bomb exploded in the city he would shoot me. I could see that these were not just words aiming at fearing me, but there was nothing I could do about it. The work was going on and I was sending cement mixture up to the second floor. When another grenade exploded the head of the convoy approached and strongly hit with the gut in my chest. I felt down and could not move of pain. The Armenian mason working on the second floor threw a stone block on me targeting my head or chest. I do not still understand how I managed to react and avoid the stone hitting my upper body. It hit my hip by breaking my femur and cracking the pelvic bone. I hardly creped and hide under the balcony to avoid another thrown stone finding me. The pain was unbearable, however I was trying to shout in order to be shut up by a bullet to me head.
I do not know how I survived, as had lost conscience of pain…
The Swiss Pierre was told that accident happened in the construction. He however achieved me being sent to Khankendi hospital. I could not walk anymore and became a handicap.
Pierre was telling that it was possible to treat me – but not in captivity. While in hospital he was giving me pain killers to overcome the pain. Pierre helped many hostages.

The great series of Armenian frauds

Chapter three
ARMENIA WAS CREATED AS A DICTATOR COUNTRY
Real formation of Armenia
Many thousands of Armenians died during the war, as did even more Turks. The Ottoman Empire was in its last phase of life. Many thousands of innocent people lost their lives by the selfish greed of the Armenians who wanted to establish their own little kingdom. The true fact of the matter is many thousands of Turks were subjected to horrible massacres in the places where Armenians had joined forces with Russians. Hovannissian ignores the many Turkish witnesses, who are still alive, who were subjected to terrible Armenian brutality. Hovannissian, if he were objective, would have certainly included the accounts of hundreds of thousands of innocent Turks who were subjected to the horrors of war. The fact that Muslim suffering, mostly Turkish, is totally ignored, proves Hovannissian’s bias and the shaky grounds on which Armenian allegations of genocide are based.
The Armenians attempted to secure the help of the powerful European countries while they met with the Ottoman government in Istanbul. “The Armenian mission submitted charts, maps, and statistical data to substantiate its claim that no viable state could exist on the little rocky land left to Armenia” (P 53, from the book of Hovanisian). It must also be noted the Armenians created their own version of facts and statistical data in an attempt to influence the Europeans. The bottom line was that the Armenians wanted – and they still do – additional land claimed by the Ottomans, Georgia, or Azerbaijan.
World War I ended on November 11, 1918. Hovannissian writes, “With Turkey vanquished, the allies could now satisfy the Armenian demand for justice and retribution sentiment aside, however, those who carefully read the terms of the… armistice had valid cause for misgivings. It was quite lenient and, in reference to Armenia, imprecise” (P 55).
Here again, Hovannissian shows his bias toward modern-day Turkey. It was the Ottomans who lost the war in 1918. Turkey didn’t even come into existence until 1923, after a long and hard battle of independence fought between 1919 and 1923.
One should never ignore the fact that the Ottoman government was a monarchy, while the Turks established a true democratic republic that continues to this day. Armenia cannot say as much.
The trouble and the confusion one has with Hovannissian’s comments, first of all, is in 1918 the Armenians had done little or nothing to put them in a position to “demand” anything from the winning allies. What the Armenians really wanted was “justice” defined by them and “retribution,” or in plain words – something for nothing. This is why the allies did not provide anything for them at the peace table at Paris Peace Conference.
“Armenian leaders were alarmed that the armistice implied continued Ottoman sovereignty in Turkish Armenia, and they bitterly questioned how disorders involving Armenians might arise in those provinces, the Christian population long since having been deported, massacred, or driven into exile” (P 57).
Here he goes again. The Armenian professor uses that improper term (as he does over and over), “Turkish Armenia”. This term is not an indisputable historical fact, but partisan terminology and deliberately perpetuated misinformation. Clearly the Allies didn’t buy into that claim any more than they did the claims “Christians” were “deported, massacred, or driven into exile”.
Hovannissian alleges “the great Allies – France, Great Britain, and the United States – had repeatedly proclaimed that the Armenians would be indemnified and that never again would they be allowed to experience `the blasting tyranny of the Turk. ` The Armenian question, the Allies pledged, would be settled `according to the supreme laws of humanity and justice’ (P 60).

National Heroes of Azerbaijan
Heroic tomb – the hostage at Armenians
He so loved his land that has given a life for it when it became necessary. This love can and has outgrown subsequently in destiny of eternal attachment to the edge: his tomb is located in his native land, and both of them – his tomb and his district are now hostages at the Armenian side…
Agil Samed oglu Mamedov was born on July 30, 1969 in Gubadli region of Azerbaijan. Has received incomplete secondary education at school number 2 then continued study in 126th trade school in Khanlig village. Subsequently Agil learned the profession of the driver in Fizuli region. He began his career in the Department of Road Transport of Gubadli region, where he worked before the call up to active military service in the ranks of the former Soviet army in 1987. Served a year in the Orenburg region of Russia, A. Mamedov, leaving the service, although this was an incredible opportunity for the Soviet period, returned to his homeland. It was a forced step – the time is at the beginning of the Armenian separatist movement for tearing away of Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan and the various terrorist tricks of Armenians against Azerbaijanis.
After the arrival in native land, Agil enrolled in the ranks of Gubadli self-defense battalion, and after a short period of time has been known as an invincible and elusive fighter of Intelligence Detachment “Garangush”, displayed legendary heroism in protecting the border with Armenia, Azerbaijani villages. Having got repeatedly together with companions-scouts into Gafan and Gerussky areas of Armenia, he came back from there with several military hostages.
Agil was very angry, when four lachinis were taken hostages by Armenians in June, 1992. He began an operation to free hostages. In a few hours’ time, scouts took hostage an Armenian officer, and brought him to the district center. The Armenians were forced to exchange the four lachinis to their officers. Agil has shown such courage, than have a deserved reputation throughout the region.
On August 7, 1992 has been planned operation in a direction of height of Susuzdag of Lachin district. And the success of operation depended on actions of scouts. Agil, together with the squad of scouts has successfully carried out the task and already came back. Unexpectedly, his squad has surrounded by the Armenian armed gangsters. Mamedov has considered some tactical variants on break of an enemy circle. He managed to kill tens of Armenian insurgents together with his fighters and to break through the enemy circle. He has warned the comrades that the area in front of them is mined. But fate turned against him. Having made some steps, Agil got on a mine and as a result of strong explosion he was seriously injured. Comrades with difficulty could take him from a dangerous place, but… From loss of a large quantity of blood, to save a life of the brave son of the Azerbaijan people are not able to…
He was married and left one daughter.
On 5 February, 1993 Agil Samed oglu Mamedov was awarded posthumously with an honorary title of National Hero of Azerbaijan by a decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
He is buried in the Alley of Martyrs in Gubadli region which is under the Armenian occupation. School No. 2, was named after the hero, where he studied. One of the streets of the Gubadli and Ganja cities was named after Agil Mamedov.
Felix Tsertsvadze – publicist, resident of the Florida State of the USA, the indefatigable fighter for a just cause of Azerbaijan and the author of several valuable works on themes of the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict invented “Genocide of Armenians in 1915” etc., making the analysis of some recent press materials, printed in the American press, has written an article in the given occasion and sent it in edition of our newspaper. Below we print the given article.
“Dashnaksyutun” Union and “Hezbullah”
New Russian Word (NRW) has entered, more truly, expanded practice of a reprint of articles from The New York Times. Apparently, they did not have enough correspondents. Or have gone in the area of the least resistance. As though that was not, but they gave possibility to the Russian-speaking reader to get acquainted with a position of the American liberal press.
So, from June 5, 2009, in NRW was an article by Robert F. Worth “The Armenian diaspora in a mosaic of Lebanon”. In article popularizes “Dashnak” party, the photo of its representative is published. It is informed that dashnaks are allies of Syria, and Armenians have supported in the recent elections of “Hezbullah”. Certainly, “memory of genocide” 1915-1918 years is exaggerated. Ostensibly, this memory helps Armenians to keep identity. The author of article glued a label “one of the most unique and mysterious communities of the Near East”. He admires their disciplined political machinery and a wide choice of social services: “the present state in the state”. Also finishes a maxim that Armenians are a separate category unlike Moslems and Christians. On weak, is it truth? Especially, in the part of “a separate category”.
In this English-speaking article translated into Russian in NRW, article of Eleanor Mandalyan in “Russian market” from May 28- June 3, 2009 under the title “Bronze Latino against “spiteful gringo””. Generally E.Mandalyan always distancing from articles on “slippery” themes. Her fad is geography, instead of geopolitics. This time she changed her rule and made a sharp attack on the Spanish-speaking community. “Under the noise of the waves” her article pushes the idea about original exclusiveness of Armenians. In particular, she equates the Armenian community of the USA on relevancy to the Chinese and Latin American. And this is in spite of her rigid criticism in Latino address.
Here is the citation from her article on page 26: “… to change a residence in America – it usual, they (no-Chinese, no-Latinos, no-Armenians and etc.) pack up and get over in others, closer to them on spirit of a place. So there are in America, Little Tokyo, Little Armenia and China Town…” That is, the Armenians, according to E.Mandalyan, have gathered such force in the USA (ostensibly!) that is able to survive and push out from familiar places the native white population of Anglo-Saxons and the native black Afro-American population.
Yes … The Armenian lies in the limits of this galaxy are not. And the American liberal Robert F. Worth is ready to recognize certain Armenian “separate category”. A separate category of that: conceit? Lie? Arrogance? If “yes”, I agree with him.
Nevertheless it is necessary for Azerbaijan imperious, political and financial structures to pay attention to this tendency. Probably, to analyze the diaspora through the article on the subject in other countries for the period May-June 2009. And not only to pay attention, but also during time to expose again created Armenian myth concerning Armenian “a separate category” which, ostensibly, is above Christians and Moslems and on capacity it was compared (as soon as has not burst yet!) with Chinese and Latinos.
It is expedient to inform both to the Jewish liberals and “Zionists” that their favorite Armenians so loved Jews that became the best friends of “Hezbullah”, voting in the elections together with the “Hezbullah”. I will not be surprised, if Armenians in the union with “Hezbullah” begin to bomb Israel with the Iranian rockets. (If has not already done during the second Lebanese!). After all, Armenians in Iran are beloved children of Ahmed Nejat. In the presence of a total ban for wine and vodka, the Armenians are allowed to drive moonshine, to drink and sell it to others. Jewish “Forverts-Forum” from New York, choking with delight and happiness, wrote about it repeatedly.
So, gentlemen Guy from “In the New World” and Nemirovski from “Forum”, more widely open way to the next articles about false “Armenian genocide”! The Armenian finger in Lebanon is already on a way to start buttons of the rockets aimed by “Hezbullah” to Israel.
As speak, “you must reap what you have sown!” “Dashnaksyutun” Union and “Hezbullah” – this is your dream, isn’t it?

Occupied territories of Azerbaijan
Aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan
The Armenian separatism, aggressive villainy, the pathological ground greed, the generations of mythical dream, to create “Great Armenia” in territories of neighboring states, finally have led to transformation of summer of 1993 in really burning, dreadful, bloody for all Azerbaijan people.
Having occupied all Nagorno-Karabakh (NK), Lachin and Kelbajar districts of Azerbaijan, Armenia has started realisation of following point of their aggressive policy – the occupation of the areas located around the NK and forming a “buffer safety zone of Karabakh people” on expression of the Armenian party.
The next point of aggressive Armenian occupation plan was Aghdam – the largest and developed area in the region, considered as the center of the whole Karabakh. Prewar agitation in this region of the country began at the end of 80th of the last century, when Armenian separatists and nationalists, taking advantage of the favorable conditions created before the collapse period in the former Soviet Union, making the illegal and unjust exclusion on tearing away of Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan, started the so-called Armenian movement. In those days, the initial brunt of the Armenian separatist “movement” fell on the shoulders of Aghdam. It is no accident, perhaps, that the first victims of the Armenian armed attack in February 1988 were two peaceful Aghdam people – young men, Ali and Bahtiyar.
For about 6 years Aghdam overcame Armenian onslaught, but in the end, could not resist the great force of well-known, illegally serving on the side of the invaders and on 23 July 1993 Armenian armed forces occupied about 80 percent territory of the Aghdam region of Azerbaijan.
Occupation of this large settlement occupying forces created a strategic opportunity to engage in other districts around the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region (NKAR). Exactly a month later – on 23 August of the same year, armed gangs of Armenia have occupied at once two Azerbaijani districts – Jebrail and Fizuli. Two other districts located west of the above, have been isolated from the rest of the territory of the situation. On 31 August 1993, Armenian aggressive forces have occupied Gubadli district. During fighting operations in the territories of these four areas, 7 500 people have become martyrs, 37 of them for their bravery and courage in fighting in their motherland have been awarded the honorary title of National Hero of Azerbaijan.
The result of aggressive policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan was too heavy for the latter. 89 434 families or 354 481 inhabitants of the above mentioned four districts were forced to leave their homes, and completely having lost the condition, they were doomed to a pitiful refugee life. During the undeclared war of Armenia against Azerbaijan, 339 settlements in the territory of these four districts have been destroyed.
Undeclared Armenian-Azerbaijani war, causing material damage to the Azerbaijani State and local inhabitants of the occupied territories, and valued at more than 60 billion U.S. dollars, and caused great material and moral damages to the above four districts. During the occupation, was destroyed many settlements, and 100 000 private and public buildings, 1193 industrial and agricultural objects, 545 educational establishments, 411 – health 739 – culture, and 192 communication services were razed to the ground. The war led to the destruction of roads in length of 1 414 km of railways – 120 km of power lines – 69000 km, 132 rail and road bridges, 131 water reservoirs, water supply lines in a length of 3125 miles, 20000 hectares forestland areas destroyed or plundered.
The huge damage is put to the history, a cultural heritage of the occupied region. Armenian gangster formations were destroyed, plundered or vandalized hundreds of historical, cultural and architectural monuments as a Republican, and worldwide concern, dozens of museums, stolen several thousand valuable museum exhibits. The forcible expulsion of the people named Azerbaijani districts has resulted in the loss of permanent jobs of hundreds of thousands of people, so also a residing source whole economy is ruined, industry, construction, agricultural and other enterprises have lagged behind development, and gradually lost accruing profits that is estimated in the enormous sum.
Armenian invaders suffered and continue to suffer at present, irreparable damage to nature and ecology of the above-mentioned region, as well as the entire country. Large forests, garden plantings are cut down and plundered, all flora and fauna is destroyed, as a result of the constant burning of fields, soil was an unusable condition, illegally developed dozens of deposits of minerals, including precious, rare and non-ferrous metals.
In the occupied territories of the specified four areas have waterfalls, caves, paleontological monuments, unique landscapes, endemic plants and other riches of Azerbaijan. Before occupation of these areas were 152 trees-old residents, 13197.5 ha of the most valuable parts of the forest, five zoological objects, Basitchay, Garagol reserves, Lachin, Gubadli, Dashalti reserves, several hotels and tourist and medical institutions. In the occupied zone are large reserves of fresh and mineral water.
In short, material losses from the occupation of these areas do not consider a moral, human – especially. And while the most disturbing factor is that over the past 16 years of occupation, the international community, international organizations, including UN, EU, OSCE and others, is aware of these facts, remain silent and indifferent contemplation occurring.
It is not clear why and how much longer? Really in the modern developed and civilized world there are no levers, that can punish the aggressors and to restore justice?
Armenian atrocity
Merciless killing of Azerbaijani in Armenian captivity
There are countless numbers of facts about cruel treatment of Armenians towards Azerbaijanis, living in their captivity. Confirmed and the information on severe murder of one more citizen of Azerbaijan which was in Armenian captivity.
IA APA reports that, according to the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, while analyzing the materials collected in the State Commission about the people captured as a result of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan, it became known that Atakishiyev Farhad Rahman oglu, born in 1970, was killed mercilessly in captivity.
The investigations, carried out by State Commission found out that Armenians treated Atakishiyev mercilessly, because he guided our soldiers to clean up Kerkijahan settlement from the armed bands of Armenia as the resident of settlement.
The matter is that at that time, when aggressive forces attacked settlement have suffered great losses. And now, Atakishiyev having in their captivity, the Armenians understood that his help to the Azerbaijani soldiers played a major role in great losses of Armenians during the attack on the above-mentioned settlement in December 1991.
It turned out that the highest cruelty to Farhad most have contributed to other factors. They tortured Atakishiyev and wanted to make him say “Karabakh belongs to Armenians”. But Farhad Atakishiyev was not afraid of tortures and death and said “Karabakh belongs and will belong to Azerbaijan”, that’s why he was killed mercilessly.
72 deadly injuries were found on F.Atakishiyev body during the forensic medical examination, each of which could lead to death of the person. Penetrate into cruelty and atrocity degree!
The materials gathered about Atakishiyev Farhad Rahman oglu and were presented to Azerbaijani President and under the order issued by the President, he was awarded “Azerbaijani flag” order (postmortem).
If you remember, in the previous issue of our newspaper, we wrote about Ilgar Mehdiyev, the former representative of the head of the Executive Power of Jebrail district of the city who fell into captivity on the day of the occupation of Jebrail. So this MAN meaningly went on obvious death, going opposite to requirements of Armenians, having kissed Azerbaijan and having offended Armenian flag.
As to an atrocity and extreme cruelty of Armenians in relation to captured Azerbaijanis, the Armenian party, obviously ignoring positions of corresponding international documents, applies unprecedented kinds of tortures and tortures concerning with captured and hostages, beginning from moral humiliation and finishing head cutting on the Armenian tombs.
As an example, repeat only some of the facts of the Armenian atrocities, which we have already written. The Armenian executioners have alive burnt captives Sariya Zeynalova born in 1910, Egan Madatov born in 1920, inhabitants of Gushchular village of Shusha district, have brutally killed Egan Ibishov born in 1967, taken in hostages during capture of Lachin district, have shot Afat Mirzoyev when on her hands had 7-month’s son Babek Ilyasov. Before the eyes of 15-year-old hostage Nazaket Mamedova, Armenians monstrously tortured her father, cut off his ears, and her mother has gone mad, without having sustained tortures, threats and blackmail. The Armenian supervisors brutally tortured the resident of Aghdam district Kaklik Hasanova, taken in hostage, have pulled out her 16 teeth with pliers. Savages of the Armenian nationality forced Azerbaijanis irrespective of their age, including elderly women. And here several lines of evidence released from captivity: “Have gave an injection in my vein, I was not in myself, alternately raped me several times, and then forced to have sex with a dog”; “There have raped 13-14 years old girls before our eyes. Their voices still hear up to my ears”; “Armenians selected infants from the women-captives, threw them in air before our eyes and put on a bayonet of automatic machines”.
And children were exposed and now exposing to what extreme tortures, heavy sufferings, brutal tortures by Armenian executioners?! Whom it is possible to name a monstrous being in the human shape, raped the four-year little girl? Monsters-Armenians are transplanted organs of Azerbaijani children- who are hostages at them, make over them incomprehensible experiments. Armenian doctors from Hankendi had been removed a humeral bone from three-year Shovgu Aliyev, therefore the child for ever remained the invalid. Doctor Aidoy Serobyan was made unknown injections to newborn child Arzu Hajiyev, son of Guljamal Guliyev. After it, baby became invalid and in May 2003 has died.
Whether is it possible to re-read all facts of the inhuman relation of Armenians to the captured? It is impossible. Whether can to suspend corresponding international structures the Armenian atrocities? Can not. How is it possible to finish this Armenian atrocity? There is only one way: to release the citizens, captured and hostages at Armenians, and their tyrants – to punish them appropriate punishment!
Armenian swagger, S.Sarkisyan also not deprived from that
Armenian conceit, arrogance, swagger, cockiness, bragging – the congenital, well-known, historically self-actualization characteristics of these people. It is possible to be convinced easily of it, having stayed and talked and for a few hours with any representative of the given nation, or having read any work, article of the author-Armenian.
It is bad that their inheritance feature, moreover, at succeeding generations is shown more and more owing to “appropriate” education of the senior generations. And thus given property is inherent in the majority of representatives of the nation irrespective of whether it is the ordinary Armenian, the official, or even the president of the country. For examples it is not necessary to go far, I will quote only a few of them, and this will be enough to confirm the aforesaid.
Today the world is aware of the whole aggressive essence of the Armenian aggressor, mankind was horrified by the inhumane crimes committed and perpetrated by Armenians against humanity, including against the Azerbaijanis, but they are proud of the sea of human blood spilt by them, increasing number of victims, orphans and the wretched, destroyed settlements etc.
Over 20 thousand victims, hundred thousand wounded men, more than one million refugees and internally displaced persons, about 900 destroyed settlements, an irreplaceable damage to the history, culture, ecology of Azerbaijan – is the most compressed list of the harm caused to this country by the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict, based is an absurd Armenian aspiration to create so-called “Great Armenia” at the expense of foreign territories.
So, let’s return to some modern holders of such “national-valuable” Armenian characteristic features.
In his stay, the president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, one of the main perpetrators of the great human disasters, instigators of the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict, answering to the questions of deputies of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, told that he is from Nagorno-Karabakh by origin and is proud of the participation in military operations and results of these actions. That is, he is proud that occupied another’s, more truly, the fatherly territory, killed elderly, women, children. It is not surprising that, one of his confidants, a former adviser of the same Kocharyan, the chief of a military staff in the Karabakh war, colonel general Gurgen Dalibaltayan bluffs monophonically too: “I am proud of that became the participant of these events”. And further boldly adds: “The Armenian military men have not carried out to finite problem –not reached solving boundaries. This time, if military operations renew, the purpose will be reached”. Likely it is clear that it is for the “finite problem”, “the purpose” and “solving boundaries”, that is, a gain of secret territory for Armenians from the sea to the sea.
During Moscow-Yerevan broadcast, which has taken place in July, the head of parliamentary fraction of Armenian revolutionary federation “Dashnaksyutun” Vaan Ovannisian, having shown typical Armenian cynicism, impudence and irresponsibility, told: “We have given Azerbaijan pogrom-makers a smack in the teeth and, if something happens, are ready to make it again”. Not only that this impudent person has readdressed a primordial Armenian brand of “pogrom-makers” on the Azerbaijan party, he, perfectly knowing, for whose force Armenia occupied the Azerbaijan territories and cynically having bypassed this fact, even in the impudent image has cockily threatened “to give a smack in the teeth”.
Well, certainly, and the present president of Armenia Serj Sarkisyan, with the Armenian nationality, is not deprived from the above-listed “notable” Armenian national features. Some of his below-mentioned statements can judge for yourself. Answering a question on genocide in Khojaly, by the way, his first military operation, Serjik told: “Before Khojaly, Azerbaijanis thought that it is possible to joke with us, they thought that Armenians are not capable to raise a hand against civilians. We have managed to break this stereotype (that is, not only have raised a hand, but also committed a super crime – G.N). Khojaly events became a good lesson for Azerbaijanis. I am proud of the participation in a feat of the Armenian people (read – in execution, crushed under the tanks, burning of defenseless elderly, children, and women)”.
He came to the highest point of a management of Armenia on blood not only two tens thousand innocent Azerbaijanis, but also the Armenians who were killed during the Armenian-Azerbaijan war, flamed by kocharians, sarkisians, balayans, and on meetings against last forged presidential election in Yerevan in the spring of last year, today boldly bears obvious lie, like such as “Nagorno-Karabakh has never been a part of Azerbaijan” or “Many years, the Armenians of Karabakh was faced with the threat of destruction” and speaks in menacing tone: “Armenia today is strong as never before, its army is modern, equipped and capable to solve any problem it faces… Menacing us with war (certainly, has in view of Azerbaijan – G.N.), we will remind bible words: those who live by the sword die by the sword… Let nobody doubts: in case of need the same will occur and today… We are full of determination to finish the struggle begun exactly 19 years ago, in 1988”.
I think, there is no sense to make comments on the above-stated Armenian sayings, they say for themselves what kind of creature– the Armenian. Their HISTORY and JUSTICE will make comments them which will triumph over once.
Madrid principles
What they are representing themselves and whom they are satisfying?
Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group (MG) of the OSCE long and tirelessly spoke of a mysterious document under the name “Madrid basic principles for the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict”. All of us heard about the similar document, “being on a table”, but nobody, except the Co-Chairs of MG and managements of two contradictory countries, did not know that what represent these so-called base principles.
At last, someone there “above” has decided that nevertheless it is time to throw light on the given document, and its contents has been published. It turned out that on the bases of this “secret” paper there are the following 6 points: returning of territories around Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) under the control of Azerbaijan; definition of an interim status for NK, security guarantees and governance; opening of a corridor between Armenia and NK; definition of final legal status of NК in the future on the basis of legally obligatory will; maintenance of the right of internally displaced persons and refugees to return to their former residing places; international security guarantees and including peacekeeping operations.
At first sight, points seem normal and acceptable to both parties of the conflict. But it is only at first sight, because all points of the document, excepting only penultimate, arrange the Armenian party. The first point provides returning only 5 of 7 districts of Azerbaijan, occupied by Armenia – Aghdam, Jebrail, Fizuli, Zangilan and Gubadli. The question of returning of 2 districts – Lachin and Kelbajar will be reviewed after 5 years. Why? These areas have no relation to Nagorno-Karabakh (NK). Clearly, this is – on “order” of the
