Russia supports peaceful settlement of the conflicts in South Caucasia and is ready to assist it.
“Our position is that the crises in the South Caucasia should be settled due to the established format and strict observance of the international law”, Dmitriy Medvedev, Russian President, stated on June 24 after the talks with Armenian President, Serj Sargisyan, ITAR-TASS reported.
“Our country is ready to assist in finding solutions, which would reflect the interests of all the nations living here”, he emphasized.
“It fully concerns the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh as well”, Medvedev added.
“We particularly emphasized the mediation of the OSCE Minsk group in the negotiation process and talked about new opportunities”, Russian President stated. “Both Azerbaijan and Armenia take interests in it”, he added.
