New apartment house built for martyr’s families and invalids in Azerbaijani capital, Baku
On June 25, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population held the opening ceremony of a new apartment house built for the families of martyrs, who perished for state independence, and invalids in Baku. According to “APA-Economics”, minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Fizuli Alakbarov stated the new building consists of 36 flats. The Ministry is going to build 16 more buildings in August. 6 of them consist of 36, and the rest – of 16 flats. Altogether, it is intended to commission 650 flats for invalids and martyrs’ families this year. Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population provided 1353 invalids and martyrs’ families with flats in Azerbaijan up to now. According to the minister, private houses are being built in the regions for invalids and martyrs’ families as well.

The opening ceremony of the administrative building for the Yasamal region’s Social Protection Center of Population was held on June 25 as well. F.Alakbarov, speaking at the ceremony, underlined that other structural departments of the ministry will function in the building supplied with necessary equipment. According to the minister, this is the 11th such a building constructed in the republic, and the first time in Baku. Until today, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population provided 39 regional and city centers with new buildings. It is intended to build 30 more buildings by the end of 2008.
