Two Azerbaijani citizens, working as labor migrants in Russia, were deported last year. Vahab Mammadov, the head of Employment and Demography Dep of the AR Ministry of Labor and Social Security informed about it.
According to V.Mammadov, the report submitted to the AR Ministry of Labor and Social Security by the Russian Federal Migration Service says that the documents of 5 Azerbaijanis are being considered now.
It is notable that only one Azerbaijani labor migrant was deported from Russia in 2007. V.Mammadov disproved the information about mass return of Azerbaijani labor migrants working in Russia in connection with economic crisis. According to the Dep head, Azerbaijanis work in different sectors in Russia, including catering, construction, business and others. Azerbaijani employment bodies aren’t aware of Azerbaijanis’ recent mass return from Russia.
