American professor and journalist held presentation in Canada - “Khojaly massacre: unpunished crime” A number of actions were held within the framework of the international propaganda and information campaign “Justice to Khojaly” devoted to the 17th anniversary of Khojaly genocide, the Azerbaijani embassy to Canada stated.
The Azerbaijani community supported with the embassy in Ottawa arranged the commemorative ceremony to the memory of the Khojaly genocide victims. Presentation – “Khojaly massacre: unpunished crime” was held by American professor and journalist, Thomas Golts, the witness of Armenian military aggression against our nation.
T.Golts was one of those journalists who informed the Western community and the world from the battle field during the war waged by Armenia against Azerbaijan and about the Khojaly realities. T.Golts speaking about the lack of information in the Western media or vice versa the spread of false information about the events that took place in Azerbaijan at that time, comprehensively informed the participants about the tragedy he witnessed and investigated.

Afterwards, Matt Eizenbrandt, the representative of the International Justice Centre of Canada, (NGO) making a speech at the event, drew attention to the fact that the guilty of the tragedy should be prosecuted.
The documentary reflecting the Khojaly genocide and testimonies of witnesses was demonstrated and the action participants’ questions were answered.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities, MPs of Canada, public representatives and activists on human rights partook at the commemorative event.
