Armenian-Turkish rapprochement shouldn’t be linked to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict

Obama phoned to Sargsyan during his visit to Los Angeles and discussed with him the Armenian -Turkish relations. Obama expressed position of his country once more and said the Armenia-Turkish rapprochement should be developed without any pre-condition and not be linked to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Sargsyan thanked Obama for his work done within the OSCE Minsk Group. In his opinion, main phase of the solution process will be Nagorno Karabakh people’s decision on its legal status made through referendum, which was described in the Madrid principles.
