Armenians are like children wishing to buy every toy they see

Within the framework of the visit to Turkey, chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov met with Igdir Governor Saffet Karahisarli, APA reports quoting Turkish news agencies.

Azerbaijani Consul General in Gars Hasan Zeynalov, Turkish Consul General in Nakhchivan Ahmad Enginal and police chief of Igdir Mustafa Aydin attended the meeting. Igdir Governor spoke about high-level cooperation with Nakhchivan and implementation of joint projects: “We are always together with our brothers from Nakhchivan and this friendship will continue”. While responding to questions of journalists Vasif Talibov said that within the framework of the visit he met with Turkish leaders: “Our meetings were very productive. We discussed issues on Nakhchivan-Igdir-Gars railway, establishment of free industrial zone which can be used jointly by Turkey, Iran and Nakhchivan. If this project is realized then all three sides will strengthen from the economic standpoint”. Talibov noted that he once more was sure of that, Turkish Government’s policy towards Azerbaijan hadn’t changed: “Turkish Government has always announced that it will not open borders with Armenia unless Armenians leave the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Today Armenians are like children who enter children’s toy market and wish to buy every toy they see”.
