The European Union called on Turkey and Armenia to be loyal to the process of normalization of the relations and to ratify Zurich protocols, said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton in her statement, APA reports.
Ashton said the European Union welcomed the decision of the Armenian president to send the protocols to the parliament and the statement by the Turkish president about loyalty to the normalization process. “The European Union considers that perfect normalization of the Turkish-Armenian relations could be an important contribution to the security in the South Caucasus. EU will continue its political and technical support to this process”.
