Our visit will stimulate the Azerbaijan-USA cooperation. The whole world, including Americans, should be aware of how great role Azerbaijan is playing in this complicated region. We can help our friend in this direction. Executive Director of American Jewish Committee (AJC), David Harris sounded this thought at the press conference devoted to the summary of his visit on August 16. He said that he will try to draw the attention of the US government to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and raise the question on complete disaffirmation of 907th amendment. This conflict shouldn’t stand outside of attention.
Stating that he will inform public as well as government about the realities of Azerbaijan, the guest added that they should help Baku in this issue as a friend and will do it. Besides Azerbaijan’s contribution to global energy security it also struggle against terrorism. Much to my regret, very few people know Azerbaijan’s being an area of tolerance, and the world needs this model very much” he said.
