Needs to investigate the tragic events committed by Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh

Lord Ken Maginnis, who Wednesday attended the debates at the House of Lords regarding the resolution on the so-called “Armenian genocide”, called to investigate the tragic events committed by the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, instead of discussing the events occurred a century ago, Cihan news agency reported.
Following the U.S. House of Representatives committee on foreign affairs and the Parliament of Sweden, the events of 1915 were presented to discussions at the House of Lords on Wednesday.
Lord Maginnis urged to investigate the tragic events committed by the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, adding that the events of 1915 occurred in the Ottoman Empire are not genocide.
“At that time, there was a secret agreement between the Russians and Armenians, and the adverse events resulted from provocation, said the British Lord. In addition to Armenians, other peoples also suffered from the events, but it can not be considered as genocide.”
According to Lord Maginnis, assessing the events of 1915 as “genocide” thereby harms the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia.
According to another participant of the debates, Lord John David Taylor Kilclooney, discussing the recognition of so-called “Armenian genocide”, the United Kingdom distances itself from Turkey.
British Lord also reminded the destruction of hundreds of peaceful Azerbaijanis by Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In addition to representatives of the House of Lords, Minister of State Baroness Glenys Elizabeth Kinnock also stated the British Government’s non-recognition of the so-called “genocide” and refusal to send an official representative to the event to be held in Cardiff to commemorate the “Armenian genocide”.
“The participation of any official representative in this event can be regarded as British Government’s recognition of the “Armenian genocide,” said the Minister of State.
