New book on Nagorno Karabakh conflict to be published in Europe

Within the project “Conflict Management” with the financial support of the International Institute for Liberal Policy in Vienna and the initiative of Austrian Defense Ministry a book entitled “Karabakh War: Crisis and Conflict Management in the Caucasus Region” was published. The book was published in Austrian well-known publishing house “Bohlau” and was prepared by the department head of Austrian Federal Defense Ministry and expert on strategic investigations Erikh Rayter. The book is composed of scientific articles in German and English written by well-known specialists from Germany, Austria, Russia and Turkey and this is the first collective research on systematic analysis of ongoing processes around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the last years. Azer Babayev, a young researcher from Azerbaijan, Doctor of Political Sciences at University of Mannheim in Germany, a member of the Azerbaijani students and researchers also participated in the project. He contributed “Azerbaijan View on Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict” to the book. This research can be considered as one of the weightiest scientific article written in German recently from the point of Azerbaijan reality on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In his article Babayev addressed the role and importance of Azerbaijan in the region in recent years and Armenia’s isolation of from international projects. Afterwards, Doctor of Political Sciences presented thesis on the additional opportunities for the interests of Azerbaijan on fair solution of the conflict arose from the incidents in Southern Osetia happened last year. The article is also very important from the point of analysis of Azerbaijan foreign policy and systematic presentation of the arguments on the conflict on political, legal and historical levels to the Western scientific community.
