4367 foreigners were permitted to work in Azerbaijan in January-December 2008. The migrants, who live and have individual permission to work in Azerbaijan, are generally citizens of Turkey, Georgia, Great Britain, India and Russia. Foreign citizens mostly work in the oil sector, construction field and other spheres too.
