Some 2,006,240 sq. m. of area was cleared from mines and unexploded ammunition in February, 2010. The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) revealed and detonated 2,796 unexploded ammunition and mines in this territory, the ANAMA told Trend News.
Some 425 specialists, 115 assistant staff, 6 mechanized mine clearing cars and 30 mine detector dogs took part in it.
So far, 126, 278, 663 sq. m. of area was demined and 604,661 unexploded ammunitions were detonated.
The ANAMA carries out demining in Tartar, Agdam, Fuzuli, Agstafa, Gedabek and Goygol regions of Azerbaijan and in Garadagh region of Baku.
In February, no case of mine/unexploded ammunition was fixed.
