The document on Armenian aggression was prepared

Parliament Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) held a meeting of Committee on Culture, Science and Education on its first working day. One of the issues discussed at the meeting was about the next meeting of Subcommittee on Cultural Heritage to be carried out in Portugal. It was stated that the meeting of the Subcommittee would be organized in “Gulbenyak” Museum in Lisbon on November 20. One of the main discussions is planned to be on “Council of Europe Framework Convention on the value of cultural heritage to society”. Azerbaijan delegation member participated in the discussions of the committee meeting Rafael Huseynov stated that he prepared a document on “Council of Europe essential duties in the fight against destruction and appropriation of the archeological heritage samples and museum resources in the conflict area”. Azeri deputy said that the discussion of this document on the meeting of Subcommittee to be held in Lisbon was expedient. The proposal of the deputy was taken into account by the Committee Secretariat. In his interview given to Azertag R.Huseynov stated that Armenian delegation members were trying to dispense different subversive documents and made efforts to put forward false claims against Azerbaijan at the meetings of Subcommittee on cultural heritage. If we take into account the place of Lisbon meeting there is no doubt that this kind of efforts will be made by Armenians again. Our prepared document on the exposure of the Armenian criminal actions on destruction of our cultural resources in the occupied territories and appropriation of museum exponents is aimed to outstrip possible initiative of the opponent side. From the other hand, taking into account the international conventions on cultural heritage and the resolutions adopted by the Council of Europe we planned to draw once more the attention of European parliamentarians to the harm given to the Azerbaijani culture by the Armenian aggressors.
