The documents for searching the Armenians, who committed genocide and grave crimes against Azerbaijanis, have been sent to Interpol“The joint investigation group, which was established on December 12, 2003, to investigate the genocide and other grave crimes committed against Azerbaijanis in Nagorno Karabakh and adjacent regions occupied by Armenian Armed Forces, continues investigative activities,” Mehman Poladov, head of the joint investigation group of Prosecutor General’s Office, Interior Ministry and National Security Ministry said at the meeting of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, APA reports.

He said that decisions were made to hold accountable a number of Armenians, who committed grave crimes, courts passed judgments on their arrest and necessary documents were sent to the National Bureau of Interpol.

It was noted that Azerbaijani legislation does not envisage criminal responsibility for being in captivity, no soldier released from captivity has been held accountable up to now. Only the persons, who committed concrete crimes and whose crimes were completely proved, are held accountable.
