PACE to appeal legitimacy of Armenian delegation

Armenia will be in the limelight at the winter session of PACE, which will start on Jan. 27th, the Armenian site Epress.am says quoting “Haykakan jamanak” newspaper. During the speech of Armenian President Serj Sargsyan at PACE on Oct. 2, a member of the Armenian delegation Zaruhi Postanjyan asked the president about the 70 million dollars he had lost at a casino. After this remark, speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abraamian changed the order of the PACE delegation removing Postanjyan.

However, Postanjyan will go to Strasbourg, because “the National Party of Europe” has sent her an invitation. Zaruhi Postanjyan has implied that PACE may appeal the legitimacy of the Armenian delegation.

“According to our information, Zaruhi Postanjyan could come to an agreement with ten deputies of PACE, who agreed to raise the issue of the legitimacy of the Armenian delegation at the beginning of the session. A tough discussion is expected”, the author of the article says. /Trend/
