State Migration Service took continuous measures to maintain national security of Azerbaijan Republic, strengthen state control over the migration processes, regulate the migration processes and certain results were achieved in August, Public Affairs Department of the State Migration Service told APA.
In August the Service received 3657 applications from foreigners and stateless persons for extending the term of the sojournment, getting permissions for temporary and permanent residence, determining the refugee status, getting individual permissions for labor activity and extending the term of the individual permissions.
Each of the appeals was investigated in accordance with the legislation and relevant decisions were passed.
The employees of the State Migration Service also took measures to prevent the illegal migration, violation of the rules for sojournment and permanent residence in Azerbaijan. It was found out that 1112 foreigners violated the requirements of the administrative legislation, 241 of them paid fines and their residence was legalized, decisions were passed about 733 foreigners in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences. According to the decisions, they were to leave the country within 48 hours, 138 foreigners were to leave the country in an administrative order.
Measures are continued to strengthen the state control over the migration.
