54.192 migrants live in Azerbaijan today. Rabiyyat Aslanova, the chair to the Standing Commission on Human rights of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), stated about it. All the migrants are registered in the Ministry of Internal Affairs; they have the right to live here longer than a month, the chair to the Commission stated. According to her, 3.786 migrants permanently live here, but 1.954 don’t have citizenship.
Generally, migrants come to Azerbaijan from Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Korea and other countries, R.Aslanova emphasized.
