A number of apartments built and handed over to martyrs’ families and the citizens, who became invalids defending the territorial integrity, independence and the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, as well as during 20 January, 1990 tragic events, is rising.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Ministry for Labor and Social Protection of Population stated that the outcomes of last two years are especially heartwarming. 943 apartments were commissioned in 2007 for this category of citizens. 171 of them were built by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and 772 – by local executive authorities. 396 flats were handed over via the Azerbaijan Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population in 2008. Within the next few days 100 more families of Karabakh martyrs and disabled veterans will be provided with documents for new flats.
