International Refugees Day-August 30 was celebrated in Agjabadi.
By organization of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies families of missing persons from Aghjabadi, Beylaqan, Agdam and Fuzuli regions missing in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict gathered to share the memories.
The chairman of Barda office of the International Federation of Red Cross Xurshida Mambetova, Deputy chief of the Executive Power of the Aghjabadi region Abulfat Tapdiqov, the chairman of the Red Crescent in Agjabadi Shirxan Huseynov, head of the representatives of Helsinki Citizens Assembly Azerbaijan National Committee, Western branch Aslan Valiyev, Doctor physiologist from Barda Ilham Suleymanov gave the speech during the event.
There was noted that, from June of the last year in the frame of the collabaration of İCRC and İFRC by the concent of Azerbaijan Govermental Authorites began works collecting and centralizing information about missing persons and finished the first stage of implementation in Baku-Absheron zone. Later they will begin to collect and centralize data on missing persons in 18 cities and districts of the front region.
The things which belonged to or loved by missing persons also some things and pictures connected with their life, job and family were exhibited during the event. The pictures of the things of the missing persons presented in the exhibition and stories connected with these things will be published as a booklet.
