“Russia hopes the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Russian Foreign and Defense Ministers to be held soon will put an end to the anxiety supposing that Russia has supplied Armenia with ammunition”, said Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vasili Istratov, APA reports.
The Ambassador expressed his regret saying that in spite of Russia’s reply to Azerbaijan’s inquiry, some mass media agencies and officials brought the issue to the agenda.
V.Istratov expressed his anxiety that the events happened 13 years ago dominated during these discussions as well. The Ambassador stated that such debates are not to the benefit of the strategic relations established between Russia and Azerbaijan within the last 6-7 years.
It is notable that Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov plans to visit Azerbaijan soon. Discussions are scheduled to be held during this visit. But a place and a date of the meeting between the Defense Ministers are not known yet.
