ACTUAL QUOTE

The Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan:

“The law, accepted by the Senate, threw France back on the eve of the French Revolution in 1789… The French leadership has once again shown its inconsistency in a decent execution of mission to restore peace in the region. It would be best, seeing their incompetence and bias, the French government would voluntarily pull away from the Minsk Group. This law would adversely affect Turkish-Armenian, Azerbaijan-Armenian relations, enhance feelings of hatred, contempt and hostility, at the same time this will add strength in the region and deepen the distrust between the nations. On the other hand, the tendency of xenophobia and racism, and expanding in recent years throughout Europe”.

From the statement by the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Baku, January 25, 2012

Hillary CLINTON,
U.S. Secretary of State:

“The U.S. is not going to impose criminal penalties for denying the “genocide”, as previously done in France. One of the strengths of the United States is that we do not punish people for their expression. People can say almost anything they want. In the U.S., they do so. I hope that we would never punish anyone for their utterances. The question of recognition of the Armenian genocide should decide not the politicians, and historians. Involvement of the same state to address these issues – a very dangerous practice. “

From the statement at a meeting at the State Department, Washington, January 27, 2012

Parliamentary Assembly of the SOVIET of EUROPE:

“Khojaly tragedy is one of the most bloody and terrible page in history, not only in the history of Azerbaijan as a whole, in the history of mankind. PACE described the Khojaly genocide as brutal and widespread act of terrorism. February 26 this year marks the 20th anniversary hosted by the Armenian armed forces with the support of 366 infantry regiment of the soviet army occupation of the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly and the destruction of its inhabitants on an ethical principle. Considering all this, call upon international organizations, including the PACE gives a political and legal assessment of the inhumane, cruel acts of the Armenian armed forces. “

From a statement by PACE, adopted in Strasbourg, January 26, 2012

SGA analysis group in Washington:

“France can not be objective and fair mediator in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict because of the law passed in the Senate in connection with the events of 1915”.

From the research group in Washington, January 26, 2012

Senate of NEW YORK:

“The tragedy of January 20 – is the largest mass punishment committed by the reactionary forces of the Communist Party”.

From the decision of the Senate of New York, January 28, 2012

Grigol VASHADZE,

“KARABAKH” THROUGH THE STANDPOINT OF FAITH

Naig Nasir oglu Yusifov was born January 5, 1970 in the village of Aghdam of Tovuz district of Azerbaijan. After having finished in 1987 rural high school and worked for some time at the farm, he went on active military service in the ranks of Soviet Army of that time and has passed it in a signal battalion deployed in the Tehakaya city of Georgian Republic. Demobilizing from the army in May 1990, Naig returned to his homeland, where the political situation at that time was too tense: so-called “Armenian movement” began by Armenia with a view of tearing away of Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) – the historic part of Azerbaijan, has extremely heated relations between the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples, every one of Azerbaijanis were expelled from their homes in Armenia and NK, was provoked by the massacre in January 1990 in Baku, during which hundreds of innocent residents were killed, wounded, missing by Armenian armed gangs all began to occur more often and shelling attacks on Azerbaijani villages, including the Tovuz village.
Naig, of course, could not sit idly by in such a difficult time for the Motherland. In those days, has not yet been formed National Army of Azerbaijan, and so in some regions have become established self-defense units. N. Yusifov one of the first enlisted in the defense of the squad that was created in his native village. The first fight with his active participation was held at a place called “Chenlibel.” Along with fellow on battle, he stood before the onslaught of Armenian insurgents, trying to occupy the village of Aghdam.
Enemy forces encountered strong resistance, scattered, were forced to retreat. This successful battle inspired Naig. Later he became a participant in many combat operations, and all of them without exception showed courage and heroism. Naig repeatedly rescued comrades, who were in danger captivity, released his fellow villagers from the prison, barred the way of military equipment in Armenia, advancing towards settlements of Tovuz district bordering with Armenia, but geographically located far outside of NK.
March 24, 1992 Armenian armed gangs went on the offensive on the village of Koch-Nebi of Tovuz district. When Naig arrived in time to the battlefield, the village was ablaze with fire. He was clever and just threw a grenade into the IFV, which in a moment enveloped in flames. N. Yusifov moved in the direction where his friends were fighting in battle, and who found themselves face to face with the real danger of falling into the captivity. Naig rushed forward, but the splinter of a shell exploded suddenly crippled him. He tried to get up, but it wasn’t possible to him – the wound was quite severe. Fearless fighter to the last bullet fired from a gun. And when more than ten Armenian insurgents just approached to him, Naig has pressed a fighting shell to a breast: explosion has thundered. This courageous act of his captivity prevented him, and together with him a dozen Armenian insurgents has killed…
On June 7, 1992, Naig Nasir oglu Yusifov was posthumously conferred the honorary title of the National Hero of Azerbaijan by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
The hero was buried in his native village of Aghdam. School, where N. Yusifov was studied bears his name. The film “Third”, dedicated to the life and ways of fighting of Naig.
