Karabakh: from sovietization to autonomy
(beginning in the previous issues)

will not be pleased. And the question is, whether it was all because of the Armenians historically proven as inimitably ungrateful people.
And about some persons’ wishes for that N. Sarkozy maybe won’t sign the above-mentioned law, to my mind, this is just impossible, because he is the main initiator and “fan” of the law. Don’t you remember how he threatened Turkey when he was in Armenia last year? And the Constitution Court of France will supposedly agree with the president and the Armenian diasporas.
And it is clear that the majority in the leadership and Senate of France is far from being grieved of the great damages in political, economic and other fields of life harmed by such anti-democratic, chauvinist, wrong law. But it should be mentioned that there are some people among senators, ministers and common French citizens protesting this law whose voices are repressed by Sarkozy regime. By the way, being afraid of Turkey’s sanctions, the French president sent letter to R. T. Ardoghan where he noted that as if such “little” problems can’t damage the relations between two countries and asked him “to consider common interests”. Surprisingly, then why France and Sarkozy don’t consider these “common interests”?
The underlined step of France creates many unanswered questions about the wrong character of its politics. Firstly, such activities are completely contrary on principles and values of European Council and PACE as freedom of speech, liberty of view, liberty of holding historical investigation, liberty and rights of people demonstrated at the 19th article of International declaration of human rights and 10th article of European Convention of human rights. And even in the country which calls itself as “cradle of independence and democracy”. Secondly, the law which was adopted only in France can be precedent for other countries that worry them. Thirdly, the adopted law sows seeds of enmity and contradiction in the community. Think yourself: more than half billion Turks, thousand Azerbaijanis live in France who will never recognize the concocted “genocide of Armenians”. And what will happen now, will they be thrown into prison or be fined 45 thousand euro? Isn’t it ridiculous? Fourthly, if France “is right in historical memory”, then how does it happen that she “remembers and deeply saddens” about “genocide of Armenians” that happened a century ago, but doesn’t remember the real genocide of Azerbaijanis committed by Armenians just 19-20 years ago in habituated points of Azerbaijan in Khojali, Garadaghli, Djamilli, Gushchular, Malibeyli, Meshali, Agdaban and others? Fifthly, why the liar-democratic France as if taking care of Armenians’ rights, closes its eyes to the mass carnage of Azerbaijanis in the beginning of the XX century, cruel disturb of rights of nearly 1 billion Azerbaijanis who became to refugees and IDPs as a result of Armenians’ aggression in the end of the XX century, occupation of one fifth part of Azerbaijani territories and puts its objectiveness under doubt? Aren’t all these prove of existence of double-sided standards? Sixthly, there are enough black moments in the history of France related with colonial system, labor trading, and mass murder of Jews, also the activities in Algeria, Vietnam, Rwanda e. t. c. How would it be to start investigation of the history of France by parliaments of states and adopt suitable laws analogical to the law adopted by the French Senate? Seventhly, why Sarkozy and his surrounding don’t think that if the “genocide of Armenians” wasn’t concocted, then why Armenia refused Turkey’s suggestion about creation of a joint authoritative commission over investigation of the events of 1915 and opening of the archive? Eighthly, don’t people understand in this country that the law about criminal responsibility for denial of “genocide of Armenians” is contrary on the Constitution of France? And there are many more questions like this. Concretely, the history, freedom of speech, liberty of view, human rights and many other values in France were victims of this pro-fascist law which can’t be based by any right, moral standpoint and which can be characterized as wrong activity of senators from leading parties who are always under pressure of Armenian lobby. Also another source of surprise is the loyal attitude of the leading countries of the world and international organizations to the step of France. The above-mentioned law adopted by Senate of France, undoubtedly touches the interests of Azerbaijan and will certainly affect negatively to the Azerbaijani-French relations. Firstly because Turkey and Azerbaijan are two states of one nation and their interests are similar. Then France openly demonstrates its pro-Armenian essence for the next time and this time showed its pro-Armenian nature proving that it can’t be neutral and objective in the process of regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. France betrayed its mission in the mediation and completely lost moral right for being co-chair in the OSCE Minsk Group. Specifically: France must inevitably be excluded from the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group.
I remembered the famous saying at this moment: enemy of my enemy is my friend and the second version: friend of my enemy is my enemy…
