“Caucasian Muslim Board urges the international community to call the fact of Khojaly genocide by its name and condemn it”
Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Chairman of Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh has addressed the religious leaders of the world, parliaments, international organizations and European Court of Human Rights on behalf of Muslims in the region. APA reports that the message has been made public at today’s event on the 22nd anniversary of Khojaly genocide held at CMB.
The message says: “Expressing the will and feelings of millions of Azerbaijanis, we are addressing to the international world community regardless of their religion, language, race and national origin on the 22th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. Thousands of innocent, unarmed and defenseless residents of Khojaly underwent sudden and brutal attacks of Armenians, 613 people including the old, children and pregnant women were cruelly killed on the night of February 25-26, 1992. 150 were missing, 1275 people were taken hostages and underwent severe torture and the bodies were abused. The Armenian extremists, committing ethnic cleansing, physical and moral terror acts against the Azerbaijanis from time to time, occupied 20 percent of our territories, displaced more than 1 million Azerbaijanis from their lands, carried out acts of vandalism in the Karabakh territory destroying our historical, religious and cultural sites. Unfortunately, they haven’t been punished for crimes they committed yet and are ignoring 4 resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. A deliberate act of genocide they committed in Khojaly is the culmination of their atrocities.
Caucasian Muslim Board urges the international community not to give way to insidious propaganda of the Armenian extremists, call by its name and condemn the fact of Khojaly genocide – massacre committed by aggressor state in violation of human morality, international law.
