The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan won’t take any special step in the international level regarding cutting of precious and rare trees by Armenians in occupied territories, Huseyngulu Bagirov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources stated “APA-Economics”.
The minister emphasized that this fact will be used as an argument at the ongoing war situation with Armenia. “We must show that Armenia isn’t frank while speaking about peace, the war continues and this damages Azerbaijan”.
Control to the protection of forests was strengthened, H.Bagirov stated. The minister considers, if forests pass to a modern ruling, less tress would be cut down. “Peasant wouldn’t cut and carry trees. On the other hand, using precious wood as a fuel material wouldn’t be adopted as a norm; people would understand it and refuse to act so. Villagers should understand that there is always an alternative to wood”.
